The PickUp Club looses its home

Sometime in the few weeks, the club’s organisers hope to hold a big closing bash. Because of the frantic search for a new building, they haven’t yet planned the activities. They do have a dream: to invite all the politicians who’ve ever had anything to do with the club and treat them to a ‘BodyLounge’. This is a form of dance and expression that was developed in the PickUpClub. Professional dancers take a blindfold person into an enclosed space and lead him or  her into an improvised dance or series of movements. It’s an intense experience to be blind and dancing in the hands of strangers. Something like that might even change the way politicians  look at things.
